There are many languages you learn when you become an expat.
Some come with books. Some come with strange moments, jokes and mistakes.
And some, strangely enough, show up unannounced… for me in the shape of earrings!

When I first moved from France to Mexico, my Spanish was… well, let’s just say it was still finding its brave voice.
I often felt lost between what I wanted to say and what I could say.
So I found a shortcut.
A quiet one.
One that did not need perfect grammar or the right verb tense.
I wore earrings that showed a little spark of who I was before any words ever left my mouth.

It sounds simple, I know, but when you are far from home, every small way of expressing yourself feels like a magic trick. Especially when you are an introvert like me. So earrings became my secret trick. They framed my face on days when I felt unsure. They added softness when I needed it, confidence when I lacked it, and a sense of self I longed to properly share.
Over time, they became more than accessories.
They became my secret language. The one I spoke fluently even in silence.
And maybe that is why earrings remain such an obsession for me today.
They are practical, light, and never in the way.
But they are also full of presence, like a whisper you carry with you.
They shift your mood.
They frame your expression.
They offer a tiny glimpse into your world…
long before you speak.

As I started designing the earrings you now find at Anne Sidora, I kept thinking of that girl.
The French one trying to make sense of her new life in Mexico.
I wanted to create pieces that felt like her first vocabulary: warm, expressive, poetic, gentle, bold when necessary, and always filled with intention.
And I love that about them.
If you are in a season where you are discovering yourself or rediscovering yourself, maybe earrings will be your language for a little while too.
A gentle one.
A beautiful one.
A language you wear.
So here is a tiny invitation from me to you:
Wear the mood you want to feel. Let your earrings or your jewelry say something beautiful.
✧ Explore the collection if you want to find the pair that speaks your language.
✧ And if you are curious, I often share those personal notes inside my Channel on Instagram.
Wherever you are in your life, your journey, your story, may you always have a little something that helps you express what words cannot.
With love,
Anne
