Poetry, Mother's Day and Heroes in Cotton underwear

Poetry, Mother's Day and Heroes in Cotton underwear - Anne Sidora

This week, I wanted to give something real.

Not a promotion. Not a caption. " Just" poems. And if you don't know me yet, I do think that Poetry in every thing, in every little details is absolutely everything!

Poetry is what happens when survival gets sexy. This sentence is not from me, but, man, I wish I wrote it. Because it is so true.

So, I wrote four of them, written from the inside of motherhood, from the tender parts and the tired ones, from a woman who knows both the magic and the weight of it.

I am a mother. I had a miscarriage before being double blessed with twins as they say. I know what this journey holds, all of it, and I wrote these poems for every version of that story. Because some moments were beautiful and others were so exhausting I was crying in silence in my bathroom. (You don't want to wake up the kids... EVER)

Take them. Share them with your mother, your sister, your friend, your partner. They come from love. From a mother to all others. From my corner in San José del Cabo, Mexico to you all, wherever you are.

With Love, Anne.

If you want to give something that holds this feeling, these are the objects we made for her.

Instinto Animal Silk Scarf · For the mother who carries beauty in the way she moves.

Soleil Earrings · Light she wears, light she gives.

Damiana Ring · Named for a flower. Made for a goddess.
