How a Poem Becomes an Object
Every collection begins as a poem. Only then do I ask what shape it wants to take: a ring woven bead by bead from glass Miyuki beads, a silk scarf that holds a verse against your skin, a pouch made to keep love notes and heirlooms. You will find the poem on the page of every piece, and on a card that comes with it.

Why Poetry, Why Objects
I have always been a little overwhelmed by beauty and by how quickly it passes. The warmth of morning light on your skin. The subtle line between sun and shadow. The soft whisper of wind that gives me goosebumps.
Beauty lives in the details, the ones we miss when we are not paying attention. Poetry lives in the ordinary. A poem you can wear is a small way of paying attention, every day, wherever you are.
The Name: She Who Sends Up Gifts From the Earth
Anne Sidora comes from the ancient Greek Anesidora, "she who sends up gifts from the earth." It was a name for the ground itself giving: abundance rising from the soil, from nature, from something deeper than words.
That meaning lives in every piece. A bracelet that carries the shimmer of morning light. A silk scarf that holds a poem against your skin. A pouch that keeps the tickets and photographs of a day you never want to forget.
Gifts sent up from a place of intention: the desert, the sea and the quiet maze of our own mind.
Designed and Made by Hand in Mexico
Anne Sidora is a small, independent atelier between the desert and the Sea of Cortez, in the particular light of Los Cabos that makes everything feel a little more alive.
Mexico is not a backdrop. It is an ingredient: in the palette, in the materials, in the rhythm of the work. Each piece is made by hand, in small numbers, and many are one of a kind or numbered editions. When one is gone, it is gone. We do also collaborate with female artists and makers all around Mexico and now Latin America that shares our vision of beauty, poetry and feminine elegance.
