Soleil Earrings

In the hour after sunrise, the Baja desert does something the rest of the world rarely manages. It glows from within. The sand turns ivory and warm gold, the air itself seems lit, and the light pours across the dunes in long unhurried rays as though it has nowhere more important to be.
